Hey, its my first time “blogging” possibly ever, since the xanga age… So where to begin, i dont know. Other then the fact that everyone is moving on and up&down in this world and its crazy how time flies.  I dont know if its cause im married, but its harder and harder to find time to socialize and party hardy every weekend.  Partying seemed easier and more convenient when all you were responsible for was your homework and tests.  Now that bills are apart of our lives, along with college, where homework is worth 1% and tests are 99% of your grade, and your parents just stop paying for things, you realize more needs to be done in order to maintain our lifestyles.

In realizing this, i decided to take up modeling.  Modeling has been… quite bitter sweet for me.  (to all you people that said “Being a model is EASY” you are seriously mistaken.) Im not sure if im still paying my dues or not, but its really starting to drag.  Modeling is one of those things that if you wanna get into it, you either need to have a lotta money or work a lot for free.  Ive come to know many talented and not so talented individuals are trying to get to where they wanna be by doing anything and everything necessary….  Some people are so desperate to become superstars that they pay their way.  Not that theres anything wrong with that, i mean if you got that kinda money and passion then… DO IT.  Me on the other hand… didnt exactly grow up in a rich family, nor did i marry a millionaire. (but he does EVERYTHING in the world to take care of me and thats what matters) lol.. so in order for me to break into this whole corrupted world, i had to work… a lot… for free…. in this damn economy… which blows…

and yet, im glad. without the time and effort put into these collaborated works (TFP, which if you dont know….stand for “time for print”) i wouldnt have been able to meet some of the most amazing people.

For instance.. Jacewon.. a hiphop artist with such a sweet heart. the shoot for his album cover was exciting since we got chased off the street by security saying that their building/sign couldnt be published in photos. faking a good time is always… a good.. time? lol check it out. http://www.myspace.com/jacewonmusic

my man Luis. His projects named “youre beautiful” defines not only what he sees in people, but how he brings out the models best, artistic, and exciting qualities in his photos.

a fun zim killgore, who brought out Rebecca ybarra’s  killer dress design.  and the amazing makeup artist james lane, that brought a generator to the shoot so that he can plug in blow driers and straiteners in the middle of nowhere.  talk about going all out.. amazing teams result in amazing images. then again that’s just my personal opinion. you should see zim’s other stuff.. killer. (:

Go green designer angela Du and photographer Angela Marklew who shot Clothes made out of recycled materials. paper bags, soda cans, trash bags, wrapping paper, water bottles etc. AMAZING

BUT, with all these images now in my book, i am considering being done.. working for free that is.  It was a long and hard road filled with pain, starvation (yea right..), wardrobe malfunctions, great people, amazing talent and amazing images. and as long as it was… i dont think id trade it for anything.  i guess paying dues isnt all bad.  so for all you people that wanna be famous/rich/whatever the hell.. hang in there!! you’ll get there one way or another (:
