Immaculate Addiction

This is a long overdue post, but last Friday I had the privilege of hitting up The Roxy on Sunset to see an amazing set by none other than Seriously (the band). And the guys rocked it as usual! Yes, Seriously was invited to perform at the world-renowned Roxy not once, but twice within the same month. (And this time also featured the beautiful Jennifer Chung!) I know I praise these guys far too often, but their charisma and bluesy-pop instrumental sound is very much a breath of fresh air amongst all the mainstream radio play I hear every day. Some of you out there probably aren’t familiar with the works of Seriously, and in time you’ll understand the tremendous amount of dedication and passion that not only goes into their music, but is applied to any other collaborative project.
Seriously as a band has gone through a few transformations here and there and while not perfect, they have grown significantly both as individuals and as a collective group of artists. Most of these guys are still college students and it’s incredible to witness such young folks be able to balance a music career and the daily grind of going to work and school, all so well. Although Seriously may be a newcomer to the indie-rock scene and even the up-and-coming Asian American entertainment scene, the band is definitely worth watching. Seriously will only become more impressive in showcasing their talents and no doubt they will turn more heads in the future.
Seriously will also launch a brand new campaign of releasing a new digital single each month beginning from December 15, 2009 to August 2010. For those of you who can’t wait until December 15, the “Immaculate Addiction” single will exclusively be available EARLY on December 10 at ALL K-POP. So stay tuned and support! Visit www.seriouslytheband.com and www.jenniferchung.com for more details.
Here are some of the videos from that night. (Their last song was full of energy, but my camera ran out of memory).
